1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website of
Mehta Travels Himachal
(the "Site") or booking any of our cab, tour, or travel services, you agree to be bound
by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please
discontinue use of the Site and our services.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be
published on this page, and continued use of the Site after changes implies acceptance
of the revised terms.
2 Booking & Confirmation
All bookings are subject to availability and to the confirmation sent by our team via
email, SMS, WhatsApp, or phone call. A booking is considered confirmed only after you
receive an explicit acknowledgement from us.
- You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
- All information provided at the time of booking must be accurate, complete, and current.
- Bookings made on behalf of another traveller constitute a guarantee that you have their authority to do so.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our sole discretion, with a full refund where applicable.
3 Payments & Pricing
Prices displayed on the Site are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are subject
to change without prior notice. The price applicable to your booking is the one confirmed
at the time of booking.
- A booking may require an advance / token amount to block the vehicle or tour slot.
- The balance amount must be paid before or at the start of the trip, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Payments can be made via UPI, net banking, debit/credit card, or cash (for offline bookings only).
- Applicable taxes and statutory charges are payable in addition unless explicitly included.
- Any bank or gateway charges incurred during payment are non-refundable.
Invoices
A digital invoice / receipt is issued for every confirmed booking. Please retain
it for your records and quote the booking ID for any support request.
4 Passenger Responsibilities
All passengers travelling with us are expected to observe the following rules:
Punctuality
Be ready at the agreed pickup point at least 10 minutes before departure.
Valid ID
Carry a valid government-issued photo ID throughout the trip.
No prohibited items
Alcohol, drugs, firearms, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
Vehicle care
Do not damage or smoke inside the vehicle; cleaning charges may apply.
Seat capacity
Passenger count must not exceed the booked vehicle's seating capacity.
Respectful conduct
Abusive or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate termination of the trip.
Termination of trip
If a passenger violates these rules, the driver may terminate the trip
immediately without any refund, and additional charges may apply.
5 Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations are governed by our dedicated
Refund & Cancellation Policy,
which forms part of these Terms. Please review it before completing your booking.
In short, the refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel and the type of
service booked. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email, WhatsApp, or
our contact form.
6 Liability
We take every reasonable precaution to ensure a safe and comfortable journey. However,
we are not liable for delays, losses, or damages arising from circumstances beyond our
control, including but not limited to:
- Traffic jams, road closures, landslides, or natural calamities.
- Mechanical breakdowns, provided we make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative.
- Loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the trip.
Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid for the
affected booking.
7 Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, graphics, and layout — is the
property of
Mehta Travels Himachal
and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any part of the Site for commercial purposes
without prior written permission.
8 Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our
Privacy Policy.
We collect only the information necessary to process bookings and improve your
experience, and we never sell your personal data to third parties.
9 Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws
of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall
be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of
Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
